Purpose and Scope:
The Warehouse assistant will be responsible for preparing and separating scrap cable and processing it for disposal. This person will also assist the repair shop with various tasks as assigned. They will regularly utilize tools and operate a sit-down forklift to complete daily tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Disassemble cable parts and sort into proper bins.
- Remove cable “jacket” using splicing machine.
- Maintain all equipment by cleaning regularly.
- Organize work area to be free and clear of obstacles.
- Support the repair shop with general tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Represents the company in a neat and professional manner in accordance with company standards.
- Practices safety and good housekeeping in all circumstances.
- Operates a forklift truck and reach truck on a regular basis.
- Recognizes and addresses safety and EPA issues.
- Complies with company policies and procedures (regarding issues such as warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, and hazmat).
- All other duties as required.
Experience:
- Welding/Soldering
- 1 - 3 years of battery industry or related experience in service repair industry
Pay: $22/hr
