The Service Manager oversees all service personnel for their assigned branches. They will manage the daily operations of the service department as well as perform field repairs, general or preventative maintenance, deliveries, in house testing and repairs as a technician when needed. They will provide daily, weekly, and regular scheduled updates to the management and Sales teams on all service matters as they pertain to their team and operations.
Responsibilities: 
  • Manages service logistics, interfaces with customers, plans work schedule, schedules service calls and dispatches service technicians.
  • Monitors the service schedule daily and adjusts to meet the needs of our customers
  • Be able to fill in as a service technician for both field and shop as needs arise.
  • Directs and motivates service people in a team effort to achieve branch service performance and service quota goals.
  • Communicates service progress, market conditions and competitive information to branch manager and sales team.
  • Serves as liaison between service people and branch management.
  • Provides support, direction, and coaching to subordinate employees in the areas of disciplinary action and problem resolution.
  • Manages warehouse organization and product inventories.
  • Reviews shipping, receiving, distribution, warehousing, and service activities; develops plans for efficiently using materials, equipment, and employees.
  • Ensures production costs, quality, and inventory are reviewed regularly to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the Service Center.
  • Reviews and analyzes management reports including full Profit and Loss responsibility and taking corrective action.
  • Conducts meetings with service and sales staff to promote a team effort.
  • Monitors training of technicians to ensure appropriateness based on position and job duties, including continuous improvement
  • Implements service programs and directs branch service strategy.
  • Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, local regulations, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and ISO9000 requirements.
  • All other duties as required.

Experience: 
  • 2+ Years of experience managing and directing others. 
  • Prior experience in a Management Service Group, preferred. 
  • Experience with warranty and inventory, preferred.
  • Expeience with inventory management.

Pay: $120,000 - $140,000/yr
