Purpose and Scope:

The job of a traffic control technician is to assist with ensuring pedestrians and automobiles do not interfere with a construction project. As a TC laborer, your duties are to assist in directing or diverting pedestrian and vehicle traffic to ensure the safety of the workers and traveling public in the work zone. 

Responsibilities:
  • Your responsibilities include placing temporary traffic control devices such as sign stands, barricades and delineators as needed to cover scope of work being performed by contractor. 
  • Assisting in setting up proper Lane closures, Flagging/ Shift set ups, Road closures all per M.U.T.C.D standards or Approved TC plan.
  • Work is performed outdoors at construction sites (various locations).
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience
  • Class C driver's license
  • Flagging Certification

Compensation: $25/hr
