Purpose:
The RF Lead is responsible for the installation, replacement and repair of antenna systems equipment.  They perform tower maintenance, while providing leadership and oversight to their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Installs top end of an RF site with little to no supervision, including reading plans, RFDS. 
  • Inspects work for overall quality, in accordance with plan specs.
  • Secures equipment to tower using tools.
  • Tests and troubleshoots operation with specialized tools or software.
  • Runs appropriate cables.
  • Performs maintenance, repair or installation. 
  • Maintains equipment and tools.
  • Analyzes situations accurately and adopts an appropriate course of action.
  • Follows instructions accurately and completes assigned course of action.
  • Tracks and documents work progress or completion.
  • Submits reports, as necessary.
  • Recognizes safety hazards and performs duties in a safe manner.
  • All other duties as required.

Skills / Other: 
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written, including listening.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Travel is required.
  • Schedule flexibility for weekends, nights, or extended travel. Extensive travel should be anticipated-away from home or out-of-market, as needed.
Education/ Training:
  • Valid California Driver License
  • High School graduate or equivalent, required.
  • Clean and current Driver's license (MVR check) in the applying State, meeting all conditions of company policy.
  • Basic use and care of both standard and RF tools and equipment.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Must have or be willing to acquire certifications in:
    • OSHA 10
    • RF Safety Awareness
    • Competent Climber
Requirements
  • 3-4 Years of direct, prior experience.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 80lbs .
  • Must be able to work in an excess of 8 to 14-hour shifts
  • During the shifts, an employee is required to mostly stand, but job task do require excessive bending, and seating in odd positions.
  • Must be able to climb towers or ladder systems in heights up to 300'.
  • Must be able to climb an excessive number of stairs on some projects.

Compensation: $24 - $27/hr
