RF Engineer-Field 

 

Description: 

 

Our Engineering team is looking for Field Engineer (FE) with experience in In-building RF data collection, DAS system troubleshooting, and DAS network analysis.  The ideal candidate is a self-starting, quick learner with strong organization and problem solving.  Strong written and verbal communication skills are also highly desired. 

 

Primary Responsibilities 

 

  1. Conduct RF site surveys 

  1. Prepare documentation of findings 

  1. Perform network performance measurements on iDAS/oDAS, and Public Safety DAS systems. 

  1. Commission Neutral Hosts iDAS/oDAS/ and ERRCS BDA (Public Safety DAS) 

  1. Track and Resolve customer generated trouble tickets/system alarms. 

  1. Manage day to day project activities which include: 

  1. Maintaining a project schedule, 

  1. Project documentation, 

  1. Coordination with local government agencies and owners, 

  1. Assist in the development of cost estimates, project bill of materials. (BOM) and compliance reports. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  1. Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent work experience required 

  1. +2 years experience in the cellular/telecommunications industry preferably in a technical role. 

  1. Working knowledge of one or more of the following platforms: LTE, CDMA, 1x, EVDO, UMTS, GSM. Test equipment including: Anritsu/Rhode & Schwartz Spectrum analyzers, Linkmaster/Agilent data collection SW/HW, and sweep/PIM equipment. 

  1. Have an introductory understanding of RF engineering concepts and principles including antenna, line, and RF theory, propagation modeling, and must show an aptitude and desire to learn in a changing technical field. 

 

Ideal Candidates should possess the following: 

 

  1. Must be a U.S Citizen. 

  1. Strong written and oral communication skills. 

  1. Innovative thinking to solve complex problems. 

  1. The ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment. 

  1. The ability to work flexible hours and support night or weekend work as needed. (Overnight travel may be required.) 

  1. Valid driving license with good driving record. 

 

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule 

 

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
