Purpose:
The Foreman position leads a crew. They direct and supervise the work of others. They have proficiency in the scope of work being performed, and delegate and manage others. They are capable of efficiently leading onsite projects. They may also troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to supporting software, hardware, and connectivity problems. 

Responsibilities:
  • Extensively communicates with Project Managers, office and crew members. 
  • Utilizes company provided tools and equipment, which may include rented equipment. 
  • Provides leadership. 
  • Supervises crews, ranging in size from 2-man up to 25-man. 
  • Works alongside the crew(s) and leads by example. 
  • Ensures the safety of crew members. 
  • Retains knowledge of and adheres to both OSHA guidelines and company safety policies and procedures 
  • Reviews productivity of crew members. 
  • Maintains labor and cost controls. 
  • Facilitates daily mandatory safety toolbox meetings. 
  • Ensures completion of initial safety and hazard assessments. 
  • Participates in safety/incident investigations. 
  • Ensures that vehicle and equipment checks are carried out thoroughly. 
  • Role models effective interpersonal skills as a coordinating manager and client interface. 
  • Participates in and supports the outcome of day-to-day disciplinary decisions. 
  • Chooses the most efficient and cost-effective ways to accomplished assigned projects. 
  • Presents and spreads the company's Leadership Culture as presented by senior management. 
  • Follows project plans and schedules and ensures that crews meet production goals. 
  • Cooperates with and encourages participation in the creation or alteration of scheduling decisions. 
  • Consults with internal departments to determine efficient resource allocation. 
  • Translates general work requirements into a prioritized work plan. 
  • Works with the crew to overcome work challenges 
  • Manages supplies and availability of work materials and inventory. 
  • Champions an inclusive employee relations culture, creating and maintaining a respectful and inclusive work environment. 
  • Recognizes, addresses and resolves issues/problems among/between crew members. 
  • Promotes, supports and facilitates teamwork and harmony by promoting and fostering a positive, visible teamwork attitude. 
  • Assists team members in elevating themselves in the Company and their careers through a culture of regular training and cross-training. 
  • Completes on-site assessment to ensure that the job is ready to commence, and addresses any concerns.
  • Oversees execution of the work, including quality and production, ensuring that the crew works to job specifications and follows plans. 
  • Inspects and measures completed work. 
  • Ensures the quality of completed work. 
  • Maintains logs and site reports. 
  • Prepares daily production records and regularly reassesses forecasted production. 
  • Prepares daily safety records and tailgate meeting reports. 
  • Reports on work progress. 
  • Completes job quality reports. 
  • Performs daily timekeeping and reporting. 
  • Completes and submits worker violation reports. 
  • Recommends personnel actions such as hiring, releasing, promotions and discipline. 
  • Prevents loss of profitability by directing that all work cease upon completion of original job scope or original contract. 
  • They alert, await and obtain written authorization prior to proceeding with any work beyond original parameters. 
  • All other duties as required 
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Knowledgeable of and attentive to company and project safety programs, OSHA and environmental issues.
  • Effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Coaches and teaches crew members. 
  • Applies good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Organizes and delegates work. 
  • Tackles challenges and is willing to learn. 
  • Good work ethic. 
  • Can adjust to change, even in stressful situations. 
  • Acts as a role model and leads by example. 
  • Is a team player. 
  • Displays honesty and acts with integrity. 
  • Able to travel (locally). 
  • Has schedule flexibility, regardless of time of day or day of week. 

Education/Training:

  • High School graduate or equivalent, required; or 6-12 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred. 
  • Certificates in: o OSHA 10 & 30 o Scissor Lift o Forklift 
  • First Aid/CPR Certification. 
  • Clean and current Driver's license (MVR check) in the applying State, required. 
  • Can read plans/layouts/drawings. 
  • The Company will provide Leadership training and mentorship, as needed. 
  • Pass a criminal background check, required. 

Experience: 
  • 3-5 Years of experience as a qualified and competent tradesperson. 
  • Experienced successfully leading crews to perform the assigned tasks in a professional, timely and safe manner. 
  • Experienced in resolving construction/installation problems through clear communication 

Compensation : $27/28/hr
