Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Benefits Manager to join our HR team. In this role, you will work closely with HR to support a variety of benefits-related projects. You will oversee key benefit program administration, reports and billing, open enrollment, and compliance with applicable laws. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage multiple benefits-related projects, ensuring the timely completion of initiatives, coordinating project timelines, and providing necessary support to achieve goals.
Data Tracking & Reporting: Oversee the tracking and management of benefits-related data, streamline benefit billing processes, and ensure the accuracy of reporting for all benefit programs.
Support and Guidance: Provide leadership to the Benefits Administrator and third-party vendors on benefits administration tasks. This includes addressing employee inquiries, assisting with claims, managing benefits eligibility, and overseeing COBRA, leaves of absence, disability, and workers' compensation programs.
Benefit Presentations & Communications: Collaborate with HR and third-party vendors to create and deliver clear, engaging benefits presentations and communication materials that inform employees about available benefits.
Benefits Program Administration: In partnership with the Benefits team, manage the day-to-day operations of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, group life, supplemental benefits, and wellness initiatives.
Leave of Absence Management: Manage and track all Leave of Absence (LOA) cases, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and timely updates regarding both active and closed cases.
Issue Resolution: Collaborate with the VP of HR, brokers, and insurance carriers to resolve any issues related to file feeds, plan setup, or provider networks, ensuring the smooth operation of benefits programs.
Compliance: Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, working closely with the Head of Benefits to maintain legal compliance.
Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for HR and stakeholders regarding benefits inquiries, providing expert guidance and support to ensure employee satisfaction and program utilization.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits management or related HR functions.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, etc.) and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with benefits vendors, brokers, and carriers is a plus.
 
Work Environment:

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000/yr
