Motive - Shared Services
Purpose and scope:
Implement or enhance security protocols and best practices network wide, from planning to implementation and validation. Develops and deploys simulation of phishing attacks to train end-users of ongoing security awareness. Collaborates with management to evaluate and recommend solutions to monitor and secure all devices in the network. Develops disaster recovery strategy for response to cyber-attacks. Ensures compliance and enforcement of security protocols.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, manage, and secure physical infrastructure components for internal and external client IT systems. These systems include, but are not limited to: firewalls, switches, wireless access points, physical server hosts, SAN devices, data storage hardware, and server/network hardware
  • Monitor, manage, and secure virtual infrastructure components of internal IT systems. These systems include but are not limited to: firewalls, switches, wireless access points, physical server hosts, SAN devices, data storage hardware, VMWare and Hyper-V servers, central control portals (vSphere, UniFi, Controller, Screenconnect, KnowBe4, etc.), virtual appliances, Microsoft Azure products and services, and Microsoft 365 tenants
  • Oversee, monitor, and manage system security components of internal IT systems. These systems include but are not limited to: BlackPoint Cyber, SentinelOne, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Barracuda, Frontline, Acronis, ShadowProtect, KnowBe4, Carbon Black and other products or services as they are added
  • Monitor, manage, test, and verify data backups and disaster recovery strategy for Motive systems, maintaining full compliance with NIST 800-171 standards and Motive client agreements
  • Monitor security scanning results and remediate identified issues
  • Organize, produce, and manage security related educational and training materials for company employees
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to internal team and clients including onsite/and or remote support in areas of expertise and as requested or assigned
  • Manage and support systems monitoring toolset and displays
  • Test, manage, and develop both new and existing IT systems to drive consistent technological innovation in collaboration with the IT Director
  • Maintain consistent and up-to-date documentation including network diagrams for all systems within the scope and control of this position
  • Ownership of defined Primary Systems
  • Promote, manage, and develop documentation and SOPs
  • Project support and on-call responsibilities as assigned
  • Some travel as required as necessary for client support

Education and Training:
  • 7+ years' experience Managing IT systems
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Associate degree, or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework
  • Advanced knowledge of NIST 800-171 security framework
  • CISSP or similar accreditation preferred
  • Proven expertise in advanced security concepts including penetration techniques, mitigation strategies, and informational resources for securing enterprise environment's systems
  • Proven expertise in security systems 
  • Previous experience with technical writing and documentation
